Dealing with a Salary Cut
by: Anonymous

Hi Scott,

Your situation is more commonplace than it has been in recent memory due to the impact the economy.

The best approach to dealing with a salary cut in a position you are seeking is to clearly communicate your interest in the position to the potential employer and be ready to highlight the many other benefits beyond simply the salary that make the job appealing to you. Those might include the company culture, opportunity for growth, commute, shared values and other benefits. Please see additional details under Evaluating an Offer, or click for more information on the left nav bar.

Good luck!
